In our books, painting the brick fireplace grey, chalky-white tone proved to be a great idea! A rich brown tone covers the mantel and ceiling trims. The firebox has a similar brick surface but shows a more seasoned texture because of the high temperatures in the firebox. White moldings are attached to the fireplace wall’s edges and the rest of the walls.
